FLEHT was formerly known as the FSHIP program, established in 2009 by the Florida School Board Insurance Trust (FSBIT). In April 2025, the program transitioned to FLEHT under the Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS), ensuring continued alignment with the needs of Florida’s educational leaders.
