Our Vision

A future where every Florida district can provide affordable, stable benefits, without compromising resources for students. Our History

FLEHT was formerly known as the FSHIP program, established in 2009 by the Florida School Board Insurance Trust (FSBIT). In April 2025, the program transitioned to FLEHT under the Florida Association of District School Superintendents (FADSS), ensuring continued alignment with the needs of Florida’s educational leaders.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is simple: put school districts in control of their health insurance programs. By joining together, districts gain sustainable savings, stability, and improved employee benefits for the educators and staff who keep schools strong.
